Living chlorophyll juice and other plant juices do not reduce the need to eat well, exercise frequently or rest sufficiently, or follow the "Basic Rules" of nutrition as outlined at the end of this section.

We do not make any claims that CEMA will cure diseases, but the following describes the know qualities of the components of CEMA

Live vs Dead Chlorophyll
The chlorophyll in living chlorophyll juice is superior to water soluble powdered chlorophyll which is the type most sold in health food stores. Water soluble chlorophyll, or powdered greens made from field grasses, is not absorbed by the gastrointestinal tract. Therefore its practical use is limited to treating ulcerative conditions of the skin and gastrointestinal tract, and healing skin wounds.

Fat soluble chlorophyll which is the type found in raw green juices, is absorbed easily by the body, and contains other components of the chloroplast (plant structure containing chlorophyll) complex including beta-carotene, vitamin K1, and omega 3 fatty acids that possess significant health benefits. Chlorophyll is beneficial for conditions of hardening of the arteries (arteriosclerosis), high blood pressure (hypertension), and arthritis. Studies of various animals have shown chlorophyll to be free of toxic reaction.

Chlorophyll aids in rebuilding the bloodstream and is an important blood builder. In various animal studies, red cell counts returned to normal within 4 to 5 days from the administration of chlorophyll, even in animals known to be extremely anemic. The molecular structure of chlorophyll closely resembles that of blood hemoglobin, and is thought to be the evolutionary precursor of hemoglobin. The major difference is that the central atom of chlorophyll is magnesium while hemoglobin contains iron.

Chlorophyll arrests the growth and development of unfriendly bacteria and fungi, especially candida, by producing an unfavourable environment to grow. It strengthens the immune system. Gargle with living chlorophyll juice for a sore throat.

Living chlorophyll juice used in conjunction with following the “Basic Rules” (at end of this section) can stop the causes of atherosclerosis and cholesterol build up in arteries, and reverse the build up. The result is an arterial cleanout that reduces blood pressure and sends blood carrying nutrients and oxygen to muscles, brain, and organs. When plaque is removed from arteries, a number of things happen:
1) blood pressure drops making it easier for the heart to pump blood,
2) there is more blood being delivered to heart muscles making the heart more efficient,
3) the brain receives a better blood supply resulting in better brain function,
4) more oxygen, nutrients, and minerals are delivered to all tissues and organs permitting them to function well. More stamina, sharper thinking, and a sense of well being develop.

Anticancer effects are noted in the journal, Cancer Prevention: “Chlorophyll inhibits the metabolic activity of carcinogens, it deactivates carcinogens in the liver, and fights tumors without the use of toxic drugs.

In the American Journal of Surgery (1940) Benjamin Gruskin, MD, recommends chlorophyll for it’s antiseptic benefits. The article suggests the following clinical uses for chlorophyll: to clear up foul smelling odors, reduces or eliminates fecal odor, neutralize strep infections, heal wounds, hasten skin grafting, cure chronic sinusitis, overcome chronic inner ear inflammation and infections, reduce varicose veins and heal leg ulcers, eliminate impetigo (staph infection) and other scabby eruptions. Heal rectal sores, treat inflammation of the uterine cervix, get rid of parasitic vaginal infections, reduce typhoid fever, and cure advanced pyorrhea (gum disease).

Chlorophyll cleanses the body by removing cellular waste, and may even help equalize hormonal levels. Chlorophyll’s ability to combine with oxygen helps remove foreign matter including pesticide residues from the walls of blood vessels. By doing this, it increases heart function and therefore facilitates blood flow and benefits the vascular system, intestines, uterus, and lungs.

Livng chlorophyll juices contain natural anti-inflammatory compounds such as omega 3 fatty acids, that work without any of the harmful side effects associated with steroids like cortisone. Omega 3 fatty acids are the foundation of a family of anti-inflammatory compounds. it contains vitamin K1 which is vital in building strong bones.

Deodorant: Natural
When taken internally in adequate amounts, chlorophyll reduces or eliminates offensive body and breath odors.

Chlorophyll washes drug deposits from the body and neutralizes toxins and is known as a chelating agent.

Chlorophyll promotes the growth of beneficial intestinal flora, thus improving digestion; cleanses the small intestine and colon of mucoid residues and combats leaky gut (autotoxification where toxins in the gut are reabsorbed by the gut into the bloodstream rather than being expelled) syndrome; relieves colitis; stimulates metabolism and enzyme systems; sustains and feeds good intestinal bacteria. Chlorophyll also stimulates peristalsis, and is a mild diuretic. It takes only minutes to digest.

Increases energy levels and well being. It is a source of youthful, vital energy if consumed soon after processing. One reason is the more efficient transport of oxygen in red blood cells to tissues.

Repairs and maintains liver health, and prevents fat deposits in the liver.

Chlorophyll can dissolve the scars that are formed in the lungs from breathing acid gasses. The effects of carbon monoxide is minimized since chlorophyll increases hemoglobin production.

Cleans and heals gums; freshens breath, mouth and throat.

Red blood cells
Chlorophyll simulates the production of red blood cells and hemoglobin in red blood cells. Red blood cells, or erythrocytes, transfer oxygen in the blood from lungs to cells and greater oxygen transfer means increased physical endurance and stamina. The chlorophyll molecule is noticeably similar to the heme (iron) portion of the hemoglobin molecule of our red blood cells.

Externally: Living chlorophyll juice can be added to water, to soften the skin of the face and hands. Soothing in the bath, the juice stops bleeding, eases itching; added topically it heals ulcers, burns, scrapes, cuts, eye irritation, ear infections, insect bites, eczema, psoriasis, and helps sores and pimples to heal; Its an excellent skin cleanser and can be absorbed through the skin for nutrition. Pour living chlorophyll over the body in a tub of warm water and soak for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse off with cold water.

Internally: When taken internally, living chlorophyll juice increase the blood supply to skin. It combats leaky gut and by doing this it corrects skin problems including acne, psoriasis, itchy or dry skin, scalp problems, and hair loss. Blood supply to the skin is increased, and complexions are improved, nourishment is provided to cells, and hydration increases. This results in heathier looking, smooth skin.

Dermatologist Jeannette Graf: author, Stop Aging, Start Living
The skin is the bodies largest organ and it mirrors what is going on inside. Too much acid producing food (see Alkaline) makes skin dull, accelerates aging, reduces color and tone, affects collagen (creating wrinkles), shrinks facial muscles (sagging), weakens bones (more sagging) and reduces the effectiveness of skin enzymes, which cause dryness. Taking living chlorophyll juice along with alkaline producing foods will energize, promote clear skin and eyes, and a glowing face.

Minerals in CEMA are a source of electrolytes. The major electrolytes and minerals in our bodies in descending order of quantity are calcium, potassium, phosphate, sulfate, sodium, chloride, and magnesium (CaPPSSCM). Electrolytes are sodium, potassium and chloride and are required for nerve and brain function, and for the basic metabolism of every cell in the body. Our bodies normally excrete water containing minerals and electrolyte solutions at an average daily rate of 1,300 mL through urination, 600 mL through perspiration, and 200 mL through feces for a total of 2.1 liters. Therefore a new supply of replacement minerals and electrolytes must be ingested daily. Prominent signs of electrolyte imbalance or deficiency include muscle weakness, cramps, swelling, slowed nerve conduction and muscle function, and general weakness and apathy. CEMA replace electrolytes and minerals which are lost every day through elimination and sweat.

Appetite Control
A full range of minerals in a diet controls the urge to eat more, for the sake of eating, and voluntarily reduces the amounts eaten.

Immune System Builder

A healthy immune system is constantly being rebuilt and renewed. Immune cells such as Killer T, B, and macrophages last anywhere from a few hours to a few days. They are constantly being replaced. In the hourly renewal process of immune cells a constant supply of a wide range of trace minerals is needed.

The most effective way to ingest minerals is when they are locked or biocombined with organic molecules. This happens when plants take minerals in the element form, from the ground through their roots, and combine the minerals in element form with organic molecules in the plant. This is the difference between plants and animals. Plants take in minerals in the elemental form, and animals ingest minerals when they are organically bound.

Minerals, Enzymes and Immunity

The Grand Connection We live in an ocean of billions of microbes such as fungi, bacteria, and viruses in the air we breath, the water we drink, and food we eat. They are the most abundant forms of life on earth. Their mission is to use our bodies as a resource for growing. They cause diseases and death. After death, microbes take over completely and we turn into dust. The only defense we have is our immune system.

Immune cells in the bloodstream find and kill invaders such as bacteria, fungii, and viruses. They also kill cancer cells formed in our body. This happens millions of times per hour.

The killing mechanisms inside immune cells are enzymes. Trace minerals are the key components, or the bolts of enzyme molecules. The absence or shortage of trace minerals during the production of immune cells results in a weak or useless enzyme and thus a weak or useless immune cell.

A healthy immune system is constantly being rebuilt and renewed. Immune cells such as Killer T, B, and macrophages last anywhere from a few hours to a few days. They are constantly being replaced. In the hourly renewal process of immune cells we need a constant stream of a wide range of trace minerals.

Mineral Replacement
Every single day we lose essential minerals from sweat, bodily functions, and ongoing tissue replacement. 80% of our body tissues are replaced every year. Some tissues such as skin and colon cells are replaced weekly. Because minerals are metabolized and eliminated daily, minerals must be replaced on a daily basis and are measured by the RDA (Recommended Daily Allowance). The aging process is slowed down when essential minerals and antioxidants are replaced regularly, and aging speeds up in their absence. Humans evolved in habitats that offered a wide range of replacement minerals that were constantly available from plant foods on a daily basis (paleolithic or ancestral diet). As a result, human bodies evolved with no specific long term storage mechanisms for minerals. Our bodies rely on a daily replenishment of minerals to maintain health. Living chlorophyll juice with biocombined minerals can provide this replacement.

CEMA contains biocombined silicon. Silicon is known as a beautifying mineral and there are also many health benefits associated with it. It not only causes the strengthening of connective tissues and bones, but is also useful in taking care of nails, hair and skin. The health benefits of silicon also play a vital role in the prevention of atherosclerosis, insomnia, skin disorders and tuberculosis.
Silicon is the second most available element found in the earth’s crust, and it is one of the most important elements used in high tech devices and semiconductors. Silicon is a vital trace mineral required by the body for strong and flexible joints, glowing skin and stronger bones. It is basically present in the human body in the form of either a derivative of silanate or silicic acid. It is also necessary in the diet as it increases the overall benefits of vitamin D, glucosomine and calcium.

Antioxidants are the front line of defence in the war on destructive free radicals that will destroy the ability of cells to repair, renew, and rejuvenate. The destructive action of free radicals are a major cause of aging. Like other plant pigments, chlorophyll produces significant antioxidant effects. It contains a powerful antioxidant that prevents the build up of hydrogen peroxide in fat tissues and cells, especially in the brain, where it is extremely destructive.

The science of free radicals and antioxidants is, according to a mountain of literature and thousands of alternative practitioners, indisputable. Comprehensive reviews of hundreds of studies over time continue to find oxidative stress clearly linked to development of disease. Oxidative stress is a by product of being alive, an inescapable response to stress, injury, and toxins. Combine genetic predispositions with food grown for transport and maximum profit, with prolonged and unrelenting stress, with unprecedented environmental toxic loads, and with antibiotic and otherwise compromised digestive systems, and we have disease rates that are unacceptable by many.

Diseases and conditions believed to have a free radical connection is amazing: from heart disease and cancer, to arthritis, and cataracts.

Raw green juices are alkaline forming which reduces the acidity of blood. A ratio of 75% alkalizing and 25% acidifying is good. Alkaline producing foods include fruits, vegetables, herbs, and legumes (beans and peas). Vegetable and live chlorophyll juices strongly promote blood alkalinity when taken with alkaline producing foods.

An acid bloodstream with a pH of less than 7, is caused by overly strenuous exercise, stress, lack of rest, too much fried food, meat (more than 50 g or 2 ounces per day), colas, alcohol, sugar, dairy, coffee, salt, and refined carbohydrates. Too much acid impairs the immune system. Connective tissues are weakened, causing skin and hair to lose tone. Colds, infections, headaches, inflammation become more common. Vitamins and minerals are not absorbed well. The acidic body has been associated with cancer, osteoporosis, chronic fatigue and poor skin quality.

Cancer Prevention
The family of omega 3 fatty acids (DHA, EPA, and LNA) originates with the omega 3 fatty acid, LNA, or alpha linolenic acid, found in raw green juices. Over 200 studies have shown that eating high amounts of fruits and vegetables lowers your risk of cancer. The omega 3 fatty acids delay the appearance of tumors in animals and make them grow more slowly and reduce the risk of metastasis. Several pilot studies have shown that omega 3 fatty acids can decrease excessive cell growth in people with colon cancer or who have early signs of the disease.

Animal studies show that omega 3 fatty acids increase the effectiveness of a number of traditional cancer therapies, including surgery and chemotherapy.

The nutrients in RJV’S protect your cardiovascular system in a number of ways: protects artery linings by reducing levels of homocysteine and blocking inflammation; helps maintain normal blood pressure; lowers your bad cholesterol (LDL) without robbing you of your good cholesterol (HDL); slows the oxidation of bad cholesterol with antioxidants; inhibits the buildup of large areas of plaque; slows the formation of blood clots; stabilizes heart beat. See Atherosclerosis.

Blood Sugar Balance
Controls insulin levels and promotes blood alkalinity.

Depression, post traumatic stress disorder, burnout, and postpartum disorder (after birth) seem to be related. The common factor to these disorders has been shown to be a shortage of DHA or docosahexaenoic acid derived from essential fatty acids of the omega 3 group, found in chloroplasts in the leaves of plants. DHA is also found in fish oil, and high levels are found in flaxseed oil. In the past 60 years, Americans and Canadians have been eating less Omega 3 fatty acids. During this time period there has been a steady rise in depression, compared to those born before 1934. Furthermore, depression is hitting people early in life. An estimated 600,000 grade school children are now taking antidepressants. In the teen years, this high rate of depression translates into a high number of suicides and attempted suicides and has increased 3 fold since 1960.

Behavior responses are embedded in our “lizard brain” DNA that evolved to protect us in dangerous situations. In alarming situations, adrenalin and then cortisol are released to make available energy sources for the flight, fight, fright response. Extended alarm leads to the consumption of energy and immune system reserves, and minerals. This leads to chronic stress and breakdown of mental and physical systems of the body. Breakdown can lead to depression and PTSD. Extended alarm > consumption of reserves > chronic stress > depression. A sedentary life in cities does not need this hyper alarm response and the chronic stress that can follow.

The brain contains a high percentage of fat. This is ‘structural’ fat the kind that helps form your cell membranes and plays a vital roll in how your brain cells function. DHA is derived from omega 3 fatty acids. The brain is unusually rich in the omega 3 fatty acid DHA.

300 years ago, the link between depression and fish oils was used by a physician, Robert Burton. His standard practice for depression was to put his patients on a diet that was low in saturated fats but rich in fish oil, which contains omega 3 fatty acids. Flax oil is documented to “give a feeling of real joy” compared to depression. Alcohol and depression go hand in hand. Alcohol sucks the brain’s DHA content.

Immediately following childbirth, women have 6 times the normal risk of serious mental disorders, a risk that is high for the next 2 years. Hormonal changes and the stresses of parenting are 2 possible causes, and a third one may be a deficiency of omega 3 fatty acids. Omega 3 fatty acids are essential for the normal development of the unborn babies brain, especially during the final 3 months of gestation when the size of the brain increases 3 fold. If the mother fails to get enough omega 3 nutrients in her diet, the fetus will pirate DHA from the mother’s tissues – including the brain. Lab tests show that new mothers have half the normal levels of omega 3 fatty acids. Women who breast feed their babies have even lower levels of omega 3 fatty acids because they are continuing to supply the baby’s need for omega 3 fatty acids. If a woman does not replenish her store of essential elements following the birth of a child, she will have lower and lower levels with each additional child. Some people suggest this is why first born children score higher on intelligence tests.

Blood tests show that children with attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD) have abnormally low levels of omega 3 fatty acids. This is correlated with temper tantrums, impulsivity, sleep disturbance, and an inability to concentrate. Depressed, angry, or hostile people are more likely to have heart attacks. A deficiency of omega 3 fatty acids my underlie both the mood and heart problems. Schizophrenics as a group have abnormally low levels of DHA. In a small study, omega 3 supplements relieved a number of key symptoms. A number of studies show that violent offenders have unusually low levels of omega 3 fatty acids.

There is a connection between depression and post traumatic stress disorder or PTSD. It has been found that among people who have or have had a diagnosis of PTSD, approximately 48% also had current or past depression. People who have had PTSD at some point in their life are almost 7 times as likely as people without PTSD to also have depression. Another study found that 44.5% of people with PTSD one month after experiencing a traumatic event also had a diagnosis of depression.

CEMA contains omega 3 fatty acids, that found in the chloroplasts of leaves. Chloroplasts are responsible for photosynthesis. Omega 3 fatty acids are the precursor to DHA.

Many fruits and vegetables contain glutathione, and important antioxidant in our body. Glutathione is also an important anticancer agent and aids in detoxifying heavy metals like lead as well as in eliminating pesticides and solvents. It is an important substance in body tissues. When researchers measured the glutathione levels in foods, they found that fresh fruits and vegetables provided excellent levels of glutathione, but cooked foods contained far less. Again this evidence clearly points out that, to get the greatest benefit from our foods, we should consume them in their freshest, uncooked form.

Helps prevent the formation of excess homocysteine which can oxidize LDL cholesterol and create a mess in arteries.

Living chlorophyll juice helps combat toxins. It contains soluble and insoluble fibers that soak up excess estrogen and heavy metals such as lead, arsenic, mercury, and aluminum from the intestinal tract and deactivates carcinogenic effects from charcoal broiled foods. When these toxins are combined with fiber they are eliminated in feces. They do not get reabsorbed into the blood stream which is described as leaky gut or autointoxication.

Living chlorophyll juice is also a great source of Vitamins A and B, K1, and especially iron. The Journal of Orthomolecular Medicine states; “Thousands upon thousands of nutritional research studies provide ample evidence that vitamins do help prevent and treat serious diseases, including cancer and heart disease, when nutrients are supplied in sufficiently high doses”. Half of people are vitamin D and K deficient alone, putting us at increased risk for fractures, cancer, heart disease, and a whole host of autoimmune diseases.

Well Being
When taking living chlorophyll juice, one may feel a difference in strength, endurance, health; and experience a sense of well being and calm. Omega 3 fatty acids in living chlorophyll juices are documented to prevent and reverse depression.

Negative reactions to CEMA

1. Taste: Most people tolerate or enjoy the taste of CEMA. There is a hint of sulfur from sulforothanes in fresh juice.
2. If there is discomfort at the start of using CEMA then:
a) reduce the initial amounts and build up the amount gradually. A liter per day will have no harmful effects.
b) mix it with a juice
c) drink a glass of water before and after

The popular ("Western" or "Industrial") diet in North America today is based on meat, sugar, salt, dairy, fats (saturated, Omega 6, and trans fats), and refined carbohydrates. The “Basic Rules” are to avoid these in your diet.

The No Rules
Say no to these in your lifestyle diet:
1. Meat: Red meat, organ meats, egg yolks
2. Salt: Avoid table salt; derive salt from the vegetables you eat
3. Sugar: Sucrose (table sugar), forbidden; linked to all cancers and immune system collapse
4. Dairy: Stay away from saturated fats and animal protein in milk (casein)
5. Fats: Saturated (animal fats), trans fats (hydrogenated ‘plastic fats’), omega 6 fats (ex. coconut oil)
6. Refined Carbohydrates: anything involving white flour, white rice, potato starch, corn starch

An acronym to remember this by is MeSSD FaR (as in “It’s MeSSeD up so FaR”). These “No Rules” are not assertions but well documented facts repeated and explained in books, websites, professional guidelines, and journals.

Other things to avoid are coffee, alcohol (only use in moderation), and definitely tobacco.

If your diet consists of foods solely or in combination of the above, you are lined up for any one of the diseases known as the “Western Diseases”. Depending on your condition at the beginning of a new lifestyle diet, a fasting procedure may be required before beginning. A fast (no eating) is a popular method used by $500 / day health spas.

The Yes Rules
Rely on these rules in your lifestyle diet
1. Fruits and vegetables: fresh, raw, pure
2. Seeds, nuts, and whole grains, legumes (peas and beans)
3. Fat: polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats (flax, canola, walnut oils; cod, halibut and salmon oils)
4. Protein: animal protein such as fish, turkey, chicken, 100% grass fed beef: about 20 g /day is all that is required
(2 tablespoons)
5. Sweeteners: stevia or fructose, or rely on the natural sweetness of fruits
6. Calorie restriction: people of moderate activity must restrict daily calories to 1,600 – 1,900
7. Exercise regularly
